Keep and eye out as we will be making some major changes to our blog in the next month by integrating it with Journals of the Heart in order to increase function, relevancy and keep it up to date.

Prayer of Supplication and Declaration

Lord, forgive me for taking my eyes off of You and the might of Your name. Help me to readjust my focus and place it with a fixed gaze on You. You go before me to make a way where there is no way. I take comfort in your abiding presence. There is nowhere to go from Your presence and I am grateful. I shout Your name and I am saved. I receive the light of the Lord and I am changed. Help me to be aware of even the tiniest thoughts before they have a chance to develop into strongholds of bitterness or unbelief in my life. I choose to set my face like flint in Your direction that I might not be dismayed by what I see around me.

Lord, I stand up to look into Your wondrous eyes of love and mercy. I choose to look into Your heart to see who I am. Your Word is an expression of Your heart and I will not forsake it or its instruction. I forsake worry, doubt and unbelief. Every thought the enemy brings which is contrary to the Word of God has no power in my life. I submit to the Word of God only. I take every thought captive and my mind is renewed in You. I embrace Your truth and loving kindness. I walk in Your enduring love. I open my heart and receive light into every hidden place within my heart. Come and fill me with all You have to give.

Help me to be ever mindful to lay my burdens at Your feet. So many times I get caught up in the business of life and before I know it I am inundated with burdens I am never meant to carry. I choose to come into Your presence with a thankful and grateful heart full of wonder about who You are—a steadfast God whose timing is always perfect. All Your promises are yes and amen in my life. I will not fear nor will I listen to the lies of the enemy about Your character and enduring love

Lord, I close my eyes and breathe deeply from the presence of Your abiding love. I inhale Your love and exhale all the frustrations, doubts, worries and things the enemy sends to assault me on a daily basis. I must stay in Your presence at all times, continually inhaling and exhaling in order to walk out a life of victory and peace. I confess my doubt and unbelief to You. I exchange the lies I have believed for Your truth. Arise O God and let my enemies be scattered to the four winds never to return. Victory is released into my life and I receive it as the truth and as a manifestation of my destiny. I arise and shine for my Light has come. Amen

A WORLD OF JOY

Written by Joan C. Nelson-Payne

We all look forward to moments of celebration,

when worries and cares are put aside.

To times of joy and happiness all around,

where kindness, understanding and love reside.

Do you remember the joy of looking ahead,

to a trip, visiting distance family, seeing a friend?

Or the receiving of a long wished for gift,

the anticipation, excitement it sends?

It seems all our lives are spent wanting more,

whether it be a career, riches or fame.

Traveling to other countries, meeting people,

hobbies, study, we’re not all the same.

There is a way to make our lives complete,

looking within ourselves where fulfillment abides.

The Holy Spirit, third in the trinity of God,

awaits your attention, he’s a wonderful guide.

In prayer you reach the one who cares,

His love and grace he wants to share.

Filling within with His peace and calmness,

Defying and smothering the one who ensnares.

Imagine the whole earth all joyful, at peace,

as communities engage in harmony of love.

We pray and listen to the God who cares,

the dove carrying the olive branch from above.

Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

He Can! Worthy Is The Lamb

By Lisa Beth Jenkins

He can drape the skies in darkness, veil the moon, in wispy clouds, He can make the stars shine so brightly, only He can send shower’s or dry up the lands, He is the King of Glory, the Great I AM, He has the power to give or lend a helping hand. He is the Creator of all, He is the One, Who sends or defends, He is the One, Who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, He has the power to fulfill. He knows the beginning and the end, He promotes, and demotes, all men. He sets up the times and the seasons, His Word can shatter the powers of darkness, destroying all the works of the enemy. They didn’t know this King of Glory, for had they known, they would have bowed to Him, Oh, He alone deserves all the honor, and the praise, worthy to be loved, worthy to be feared, to stand in awe of Him, this magnificent Creator, this wondrous God, Who sits on the throne, where angels cry day and night, Holy, Holy, Holy, Worthy, is the Lamb, the Word made flesh, worship Him alone.

You’ve Got A Friend

By Angela Gill

You?ve Got A Friend

The times when I really needed someone to ?tell my troubles to?, I always ended up listening to their troubles and comforting them. It just seemed at the time ?that?s just the way it is.? This happened when I was in the world and it happened when I came into God?s Kingdom. When in the world, I would go away thinking that nobody cared about me or my problems but when I came into the Kingdom, I had higher expectations. I thought NOW maybe somebody will care enough to listen, after all, they are commanded to love me! This is wisdom: our expectations many times cause us to be offended.

What I didn?t understand at the time was God was working in all of this, all the time. He was trying to get me to come to Him, to rely on Him, to make me understand I needed HIM. One day as I was meditating on the matter, I begin to think, when I need to be encouraged, I simply go to God. God does not feel sorry for me, He does not flatter me, He does not condemn me. He loves me, encourages me, He corrects me and He comforts me. This song came from that meditation:

I Go To Him

When I need a friend or I need a lover or when I feel just like a child without a mother?..I go to Him, I go to Him, I go to Jesus.

When my heart if full or just been emptied out or when I just want to share what my life?s about?.I go to Him, I go to Him, I go to Jesus.

For He?s the One who gave His life for me and He?s the One who really cares for me, and He?s the One who said: ?whosoever will, come unto Me, so my friend, won?t you come, come to Jesus

When you?re all alone, no one to call your own, or when you just need a shoulder to lean on?.come to Him, come to Him, come to Jesus.

There is no hurt He cannot heal, no empty heart He cannot fill, so where you are or where you?ve been,?come to Him

I break the lie that Satan told, that you?re too bad to come back home?.so now you?re free, your heart can see where you should be??

Jesus is calling??Come Unto Me?

For He?s the One who gave his life for you and He?s the One who really cares for you and He?s the One who said: ?Whosoever will, come unto Me?..so my friend, won?t you come, come to Jesus

Broken Bread

By Angela Gill

Several years ago I found myself right smack dab in the middle of a huge fog of self pity. You know the place ? almost everybody has been there one time or another. That place where all you can see is how mistreated you are, how nobody cares about you, blah, blah, blah.

One day while sitting at my kiosk in the Fort Sam commissary, I happened to be reading Oswald Chambers "My Utmost for His Highest" and lo and behold! Right there in front of me were the words: "When God is crushing us to be made poured out wine, He doesn’t usually use His own fingers but rather people and circumstances we don’t like."

All of a sudden this "proverbial" light bulb went off in my head and I said, ?That’s what’s going on! You’re trying to crush me only you’re using people who are supposed to love me! Okay Lord, "let’s get on with the crushing!"

Immediately, the Holy Spirit dropped this song into my spirit and the heaviness left me. I call it

"Broken Bread"

Make me broken bread, make me poured out wine.

For I am yours Lord, my life is in the Vine

So as you crush the fruit born of my flesh

Remove all bitterness, make me sweet and fresh

To be poured out upon a hurting world so lost

Make me broken bread no matter what the cost

And as I cry out to You, Your will, not mine,

Make me broken bread, make me poured out wine.

From Death to Life

??for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate (Luke 15:24)?

My child, your inheritance is waiting for you but you must come home to receive it. If you will only acknowledge that you need Me and turn from your own ways, there will be rejoicing in Heaven.

I came to give you life and give it to you more abundantly; don?t you know when you hurt, I hurt?when you cry, I cry?

I have given you time to try the ways of the world and you remain unfulfilled. It is time now for you to return to Me. I have the royal ring and robe waiting and the calf is being fattened.

Hurry! I?ll run to meet you!

I Love you,

Jesus

Slow Me Down Lord

Lord,

I got so excited to do something for You so grand
My mind, heart and were focused on You
There was no time to pause, was so in a hurry
As if there was no chance to see tomorrow

While I was deeply contemplating what to do
Lord, You lovingly reminded me,

My Child,

Work not in haste, so there be no waste
Step back a little and bank on My grace

Did I not say in the fullness of My time sweetie?
Worry not for I know the plans I have for you

All made up in Heaven to bring you delight
Just submit to my will and for sure all will be

Lord,

I pause a while and reflect about Your grace
For Your time is perfect and with precision too
I must not forget You are eternity and O’
That I need to keep still and wait for only You

Thank you for reminding me just to flow
Within Your loving guidance only for me to do

My Child,

All is well and will in due time glow
My love will see you through,
Move only when I say go…

As You Arise

I pray that as you rise today God will meet you with the opening of your eyes. I pray you will hear the rustle of the angel’s wings standing over you, watching out for you. I pray you will smell the fragrance of our Savior as His essence moves around you. I pray Holy Spirit will fill you so full of happiness and joy this day you will burst with joy, hope and faith.

Know this; Jesus is right at your side. Your Father is watching over you, and what causes you concern and distress doesn’t even cause a wrinkle on His brow. Stop for a minute and close your eyes. Listen as Jesus is whispering in your ear, “I am very near.” Feel the warmth of His touch as He places His hand upon your shoulder, guiding you through His Spirit.
