“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29 NIV).
Word of the Day
Be encouraged; I am in the process of revealing Myself to you in a new and fresh way and will uncover the root of all wrong conceptions about who I am hidden within the depths of your heart. I want you close, so very close. So, open your heart to its fullest capacity, without reservation or adherence to the traditions of men and you will be amazed. All you ever need or want to know about Me was and is made flesh in Jesus.
You see, Beloved, if you have My Son in your heart and know Him, you know Me. You have access to all I am and all I have. He is the personification of who I am. If you have seen Him you have seen Me, your heavenly Father, for I am in Him and He is in Me. He, Himself said, “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father “(John 14:6-9, John 14:19-21). These are elementary truths but worthy of the reminder.
When you doubt who I am, read the Word and discover anew the beauty of My heart made flesh in My Son Jesus. I sent My Son to represent Me, showing the fullness of who I am. My Son represents the breadth of all My grace and goodness. His walk and life demonstrated My face; the face of a loving Father.
His life, His work continues on your behalf. He never tires or rests from the call of Love—nor do I. The very essence of your life is before Me today and every day to come. I have many doors just waiting for you to open. Look to the mountains of My heart from whence your help comes. Yes, help is coming to you today in real and practical ways. Reach out and receive.
You are My beloved, therefore, don’t be afraid to look into My face for you will not die, but rather be changed. Look into the true light of the Word. Look into the written expressed heart of My Son Jesus. Discover who He was and is—the same yesterday and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Everything you discover in the Word about My Son is a discovery about Me. I cannot be any plainer than this.
Once again, do not think this applies to those overcoming lives once subject to great difficulties and hardship. It applies to any area or place in your heart where the light of revelation has not yet penetrated. Examine your heart today and let Me uncover any hidden misconceptions. Sometimes it is easy for those who have known Me for a long time to forget to behold Me in the midst of My Word or forget to ponder the simple revelations of the Father’s Heart. Everyone needs a little milk now and then…Read Complete Love Letter…
Prayer
Father, this is a new day—a new day of revelation and truth. You have come to open the recesses of my heart that I might know You in a greater way. I draw near to You and You draw near to me. I let go of all my reservations. Show me where any traditions of man cloud who You really are. Bring revelation and understanding to the Word when I read it. Open the eyes of my heart and let me see, let me see You. Let me see the kind intentions of Your heart for my life. Lift my head up that I might look fully into Your wonderful face through the beauty of Jesus. Uncover and do away with any misconceptions in me as to Your true nature no matter how small they may seem. From the smallest to the greatest, I let them go. I behold You in the beauty of Your holiness to drink the milk of Your Word in areas where I need it. Fill me up as I contemplate You. Take me on an adventure of great discovery. Amen
Reflect and Journal
-
- Have you ever felt inhibited or prohibited from drawing close to the Father because of wrong perceptions of Him based on your own inconsistencies or lack of understanding about His true nature?
- Is there something you need to understand about the Father? Look to the Word and find what it says about Jesus in this area. You will then know what the Father is like, too.
- The Father, like Jesus, never rests or tires of working on your behalf. Reflect on this and write a love note of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving opens the heart to faith.
- What do you need to have changed in your heart, in the very core of your belief system? Take some time and look into the Word, look into His face during a time of worship and prayer. Listen carefully while letting Him touch you—change you.
1. It’s been a journey of discovery, of learning and understanding more about my Father in heaven. I had to reach out to find these things out. No one person really contributed to this.
2. I just feel I should be closer to Him during my waking hours. I realize that He is always there for me. Yes, I feel and know Jesus and the Father are one in their love, compassion, etc.
3. I thank God for everyday, for being able to do the things I can and for being there for me when I need Him, or when I don’t. It’s a “knowing” that I am loved unconditionally, even when I fail in some aspect of a situation and handle things wrongfully. I thank Him for being “there” for me. I need to recognize my source more fully. I do praise and worship my Creator.
4. I am quick with words, too quick. I hurt myself, as well as I hurt my Savior with my choice of words at times. My prayer time needs to be extended. This has been emphasized to me through my morning times with God.
