Meditative Prayer, A Devotion of the Heart

My Prayer

The practice of Meditative or Soaking Prayer has transformed my life and will transform yours. There are many ways to practice Meditative Prayer. This is what the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. The most amazing thing about this type of prayer is the more you practice the more you want, because you encounter such a deep realization of His presence. It is my prayer that you find this devotional informational and inspirational in a way that draws your heart to the Lover of your soul.

His Answer

Come into a place of Meditative Prayer My Beloved. I want to saturate your life through the use of your imagination. I gave you your imagination. It is a powerful tool to use in your relationship with Me and I have sanctified it through the blood of the Cross. Many have seen it as a bad thing because of the way it has been used by the enemy in the New Age movement and other practices. Remember, the enemy never created anything. He only kills steals, destroys or perverts (John 10:10). He cannot create, so trust Holy Spirit to lead you and keep you (John 16:13). As you come into My presence covered by the blood of the Lamb, you are safe. I want you to use your imagination to see Me in a way that will help in our personal time together.

A Quiet Place

Find a quiet place, a comfortable place where you can relax without hindrance. Remove all distractions. Put on some soft, soothing music and humble your heart before Me, confess any sin that might come between us, and release yourself to the Holy Spirit. Close your eyes, and speak words of love, adoration and thankfulness to Me. Release all your frustrations for I care for you. As your heart is softened by My presence, imagine I am sitting or standing there with you. Relax and see the love emanating from the depths of My heart through My eyes and smile. I will open My arms wide and call you by name.

Come My Beloved

Come, My Beloved, arise and hear My heartbeat. See yourself coming to Me as I lovingly encircle you in My embrace. Everything else will fade away in the light of My presence. I will close My arms around you and pull your ear to My heart. As your head rests on My heart, I want you to let go of all stress, all fear, all sorrow and unfulfilled longings. There is no past and no future in this pace of communion, only the present reality of My presence as we meet heart to heart. Offer all other thoughts to Me as a sacrifice of praise. If distracting thoughts continue to intrude, be diligent and keep giving them to Me until they subside (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). I will wash them away, leaving behind a refreshing atmosphere conducive to intimate communion. All you will desire, all you will see, is Me.

Stay Awhile

Stay in this place, and let My peace saturate you, filling your life with My light and warmth. In this place, My unending love will be revealed, enabling you to receive the fullness of who I am, for I am in you and you are in Me (John 17:20-26, Colossians 2:9-12). Becoming aware of your position in Me will change your life forever. You are seated with Me in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Through this type of intimate communion, I will reveal the reality of who you are and heal all wounds that prohibit the understanding of your heavenly position. You will begin to live and move and have your being in Me (Acts 17:28). Every aspect of your life will flow from this place of habitation in Me.

No Condemnation

There is no condemnation in this place of communion, only acceptance and revelation. It is here where I will speak My heart to you, allowing you to interpret every beat it makes. I have so many things to share. I will show you great and unsearchable things you know not (Jeremiah 33:3). I will open the eyes of your heart and show you the deep mysteries of My heart (Ephesians 1:17-22). Therefore, keep a journal and write down the things I say to you.

Tune In

As your ear is attuned upon My heart, I will speak to the recesses of your being, releasing resurrection life, causing all wrong thinking to release its hold. Anything having the ability to separate us will be removed. I will destroy the curses of men who do not agree with My Word, My will for you, and insert My Living Word. My Word will not return void. I will accomplish My redeeming purposes of deliverance, wholeness, freedom, understanding, healing and revelation. Words of life will rise up like a cleansing flood, flowing through your entire being, shifting your whole way of thinking.

I will draw you into the depths of My heart, enabling our hearts to fuse as one, and clarity will come, giving you the answers you need.

Do this often. The more you take time for meditative prayer and My Word, the quicker transformation will come to your life, making it easier to believe all I say. Soon all your thoughts will be consumed by Me. Emanating faith and power will transform how you believe and act in the situations of life moment by moment.

My chamber door is open, and I am standing before you saying, “Arise and come; come into the Secret Place.” The one who comes is the one who receives. Come, put your ear to My heart, beloved, for I am ready and prepared, without limitation, to share My deepest secrets.

Remember

Remember; write down the things I share with you. If you have times when you struggle to enter My presence, you will have My written thoughts to bring encouragement. Read them. Read the Scriptures. Speak both out loud, repeating them back to your own heart (Romans 10:17). This will release a new flow and break down the barriers holding you back from Me. Remember My heart is always full, pressed down, shaken together and running over for you. My chamber door is open. Come!

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come. I come into your presence. Teach me how to meet with You heart to heart. I trust Holy Spirit to lead and guide me into all truth. I will confess my sin, take my thoughts captive, and enter the chamber door of Your heart. My heart is your habitation. I am not a citizen of this world. I am already seated in heavenly places for I am in Christ. I put all distractions aside, including how I view myself. I come into your presence and receive all You say about me, all You want to teach me. Yes, Lord Jesus, I come.

Reflect and Journal

Take some quiet time and practice the above suggestions and write His words of love to you. It will transform the way you think (Romans 12:2).
