Heir Of Abraham, Heir To The Promise, Part One

My Promises Are Yes And Amen

Beloved, I have come to encourage you, strengthen you and blow My breath of life across dreams and promises I have spoken and confirmed (Psalms 20:2). Even though I have told you before, still, I never get tired of telling you again and again. Sometimes you think I tire but it isn’t possible. How could I tell you not to grow weary in doing good and then grow weary Myself? May it never be! In fact, it can’t be!

It is my pleasure to support you with the strength of My right hand (Isaiah 41:10). In order to fortify you today I would like to use Abraham’s life to reinforce and gird up your heart, your faith, and your resolve. Holy Spirit, your comforter, your counselor has come to shroud you in garments of faith today, to encompass you round about (John 15:26 John 16:7). Yes, even now, Holy Spirit is overshadowing you even as I overshadowed My Son in the Jordan (Matthew 17:5). Seize this moment for Holy Spirit is present. Lay your dreams at My feet and I will breathe the breath of life into them, and they shall live. I am breathing faith into your heart. Receive.

Fear Not, I Am Your Shield And Great Reward

When I came to Abram, I told him I was his shield and exceedingly abundant reward and you are no different, no exception to the rule (Genesis 15:1). What I was to him I am to you. When I spoke these words to him his greatest dream and desire spoke from his heart and asked, “What reward can You give me seeing I am childless with no heir but my servant (Genesis 15:2-3).

To answer him, I took him outside under the starlight and directed him to look toward the heavens and count the stars. Then I spoke to him, “So shall your decedents be.” I gave him My word, My covenant in the afternoon years of his life when all natural hope was gone. In the natural things may look impossible, however there are things going on behind the scenes unseen by you. Moment by moment I am working, rearranging, maturing and then, suddenly it happens and you are amazed.

As I was with Abram I am with you. I am working, rearranging, maturing, and building so fear not (Psalms 118:6 Psalms 46:2). Your dreams and desires, My dreams and desires are in the process of coming to pass. Yes, they are unfolding. Set your eyes on Me and have faith (Hebrews 12:2). I am breathing on your dreams. Who do you think stirred them up in your heart anyway? They are from Me, spoken by Me. Look to Me. Don’t turn to the right or the left. Isaac is in front of you as you focus on Me.

God Is Not A Man That He Should Lie

I spoke to Abram at a time when all dreams had faded and the sound of childish laughter and play were only a distant memory in a life surrendered to Me. Did he ever wonder why? Did he ever blame himself? What questions do you think he had asked prior to the day I spoke to him? He was a man just like you, so what do you think the answer to these questions might be?

What dreams have you held a bay, wondering if they could ever be or if I will remember and do what I have promised (Numbers 23:18-20)? I can assure you I remember and I will bring it to pass. I am aware of them all and like I said, “I am here to blow a fresh breath of life and ignite a fiery faith in your heart. Look up and see the stars. My wind is blowing.

You are My Abraham, a contender of the faith in this generation. What you do and believe matters, having the power to bring life-changing effects to those around you-those you see and those you will never see until that day.

Therefore, let child-like laughter fill your heart. Do not let it become a distant memory of days gone by. Laughter will do you good like a medicine and your wondering, wandering heart will dance a dance of faith filled praise.

Dare To Believe!

Questions and doubts aside, I came to Abram in the twilight hours of his life and spoke to the dream in his heart. Yes, I spoke to a dream buried so deep he was only aware of it enough to plan and give all he had to his servant. Did he remember his dream of a son every time he looked at his servant? Did he still long in his heart? Yes!

And I heard! Yes, I heard his longing and I came. I came and resurrected his dream. I released a song of promise in his ear, in his heart. The words, “I will give you a son,” fell like rain of parched ground. His heart lapped at hope like the deer pants for water (Psalms 42:1). Dare he hope? Dare he believe? Yes!

Dare you believe? Yes! You are still alive and breathing, therefore, it is necessary to continue on with a heart of faith. Just think, faltering to the point of abdication will not only affect you, but those around you. Your destiny is tied to their destiny. It is a mistake for anyone to think so are to believe it is ever about one person. There is more at stake and you can see this is so by looking at Abraham. Your destiny was at stake for you are his heir.

Yes, you must believe and I am here to encourage you, provoke your faith and bring all to pass. Lay aside your doubts coming from a tendency to look at your own abilities. I am the only ability needed. I am ability in every form. Cloak yourself in My ability all the while resting at the feet of My Son in humble adoration and love. I have heard and I have come.

Love Me More Than The Promise, More Than The Dream

Abram and Sarai were past their prime into the nighttime of their lives when I blew across the embers of their hearts, erupting, burning a flame of hope. Have you felt past the prime time release of your promise?

Do you wonder what he thought? Do you wonder what Sarai thought? Could it be some of the same things you think when you ponder the promises spoken in and over you? Did he look at Sarai every day with the question in his eyes pleading, “Is this the day?”

Do you look up and ask with questions in your eyes, “Is this the day? Is this the day of my Abraham moment?” Beloved, My name is Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11). You must remember this when the calendar seems to defy My Word to you. Days, weeks, months and even years passed by with no answer to the questions in his eyes, in his heart, yet he did not waver ( Romans 4:19-21 Hebrews 10:23). Even if his promise never came to pass his faith would have remained. Like David, he loved me and believed in me no matter what. Don’t give up regardless of what you see or hear from the enemy. Be like Abraham and love me more than the promise.

Prayer

Today is a new day of faith, a new day of refreshing in my life. I am putting of a cloak of wisdom, faith, and understanding in the light of Your presence. All my hopes and dreams rest in You and not in a calendar determined by man. You are my shield and great reward. If it was all about me things might be different but it is not. My life is connected to You first then to others. I give all my questions, doubts and weariness for I will reap in due season. Season is the word I need to hear and abide by. To everything its season.

Forgive all my doubt and unbelief. I will no longer look out at circumstances but I will instead set my face like flint in Your direction. You come and bring the victory with You. All my promises are found in and I mean in You. I will be like Abraham and not waver in faith. Count it unto me as righteousness and come quickly. Amen

Reflect and Journal

“Thus Abraham believed in and adhered to and trusted in and relied on God, and it was reckoned and placed to his account and credited as righteousness (as conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action)” (Galatians 3:6 Amplified)

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us” (2 Cornithians1:20 NASB)

1. What areas do you need to be strengthened or shielded in?

2. Holy Spirit is overshadowing you, giving you counsel. Write what He is saying.

3. Where do you need the shield of the Lord in your life right now? Tell Him and He will respond.

4. What does it mean to you personally to know Father is with you just as much as He was with Abraham.

5. What dreams have you let go of the Lord has given and confirmed for you?

6. Have you forgotten how to laugh like a child? Have you become to serious for your own good? Reflect on this and see if your faith has suffered and robbed your heart of praise.

7. What questions have you been asking? Does knowing Abraham asked encourage you?

8. Father is here with His ability, His willingness and His faith. What is your reaction and answer to Him?

9. Father doesn’t mind your questions. Ask Him and then choose to love Him more than the promise.
