When You Call I Answer

Word of the Day
Beloved, I have heard you crying out in prayer to Me; I have heard your desire crying out to hear My tender voice. I know you have need of Me and I am here to answer you. Before one sound left your lips, I came. In fact, I am ever present, ever near and always listening. I am wooed by your need to love and be loved. I am wooed by your heart like one drawn outside into the midst of a sunny spring day. When you call, I answer (Psalm 18).

I am drawn to you like the earth as it responds to the rain when it falls causing the trees to drip with moisture—causing the ground to be saturated in preparation to liberate hidden seeds into their destiny of beauty and fragrance. I have come to you in a like manner. A heavy thick blanket of My presence hangs like moisture in the air, ready to drip life into the dry places of your heart, ready to respond to the cries of your heart . . . ready to rejoice in your love for Me in spite of all odds.

The beating of your yearning heart is like a covey of geese flying over who do not withhold their praise at the faint whispers of spring wooing them—calling them home from their southern journey.

The song of longing in your heart is like the fresh buds of spring released to bring color and glimpses of verdant life into what once was the dark brown and grey of winter. Your words are like the sweet songs of birds singing about new love among the twinkling of wind chimes as the breeze of Heaven blows through the land. Yes, your words of longing, love and adoration create an atmosphere which releases the life-giving beauty of Heaven. How I love your song.

Even in the midst of your need, love abounds. Though you are weak, you are strong. Because of this, new life will emerge and show its splendor, its hope and its promise. Though the accuser of the brethren has attempted to cloud the incredible beauty of your life, spring still comes. Though the enemy has wanted you to believe at times I am far off, you still come and say it is not so.

I have seen you lay all your misgivings at My feet many times, when all seemed impossible, and climb by faith into My embrace. How you love the covenant I, your Good Shepherd, have made with you. This pleases Me; therefore, I will work what is pleasing in you, so come. Yes, come for My heart is soft toward you this day. I am listening for your song…
“The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry: (Psalm 34:5 NKJV).

In my distress [when seemingly closed in] I called upon the Lord and cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple (heavenly dwelling place), and my cry came before Him, into His [very] ears (Psalms 18:6 Amplified)
Prayer
My heart has cried out to You with a desire and longing to be all You say I am. My every heartbeat is precious to You. When I call out, You answer and I am made strong. I so desire my heart to be as drawn to You as You are to me. Let the rain of Your presence fill every dry place with the moisture of Heaven. Every dry place in my heart responds to You and cries out to You with longing and praise. I am homesick for Your presence—lovesick at the sound of Your voice, Your whisper.

Let my heart bloom like a new spring day. I agree with You that winter is gone. Every barren and brown place is now responding to the blanket of Your presence in and over my life. My need has driven me into Your embrace to find strength in weakness and song to sing in the night. There is none like You. I lay all at Your feet. You care for me; therefore, I am not afraid. The blood of Your covenant had kept me and will keep me all my days. You are working all things together for my good and I give You praise. My heart is soft and today it sings a song of praise. Amen

  4. What did you learn from those times that give you strength today?
  5. He has come to liberate hidden seeds of promise within your heart and cause you to bring forth fruit that lasts. Reflect on this.
  6. What kind of words are you releasing? Are they songs of beauty or doubt?
