Heaven’s Sling

Void, empty, untouchable space
Fathoms of darkness to embrace
Far flung from heaven’s sling
Echoes of eternity ring

Sent from heaven in eons past
Unheard sound journeys at last.
Small as a stone with atoms power
To encapsulate absorb, then devour

Years left in darkened slumber
Hidden from light, hope encumbered.
Flying through time, through deep night
Making way, in spite of perilous flight

Splitting, shattering, pushing aside
Gathering strength with hope to glide
Escalating, with determined choice
Ears penetrated by one small voice

A cry, a moan, whispered need
Bleeding from an open seed
Cracked by life, by desperation
Voiced with choked respiration

Broken, empty, untouchable space
In fathoms of darkness lives disgrace
Ear now open to the distant ring
Flung before time, from heaven’s sling

Light descending like a falling star
From eternity’s heart, time afar
Responding to a broken seed
Before realization birthed need

Destined meeting, preordained flight
Before heartbeat nestled tight
Purpose and realization collide
Darkness consumed, light abides

Seeping deep into once void space
Gliding hope, healing grace
Cracked life births eternal days
Choked respiration, now exalted praise

Echoing eternity’s jubilant ring,
A soul transformed to sing
Encapsulating, absorbing eternal sound
Reborn; heaven and heart are bound
