Little Foxes, Big Impact

Don’t’ You Dare Give In, Hope (Help) Is On The Way!

My child, don’t give in to disappointment. Some issues are simply beyond your control, not related to any aspect of your life. They are attacks of the enemy in which you must use My word to overcome. I died to give you hope and hope does not disappoint.

However; some come out of unmet expectations, certain behaviors and attitudes. Like little foxes, they sneak in before you know it. Be on guard at all times no matter the direction they come from. It is My Word, sharper than a two-edged sword spoken that builds faith and destroys the enemy at the same time (Heb 4:12). Yes, it is a weapon and a tool, mighty for the tearing down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

If you find yourself contemplating areas of your life which seem to resist change, resist conforming to the Word, you must not give in, no way, no how. You must, yes, you must persist. Change your thinking to align with Mine and consider it an opportunity to see My power displayed. Remember, I took the keys of hell, death and the grave. Nothing has changed. I rendered your enemy, satan, powerless. He roars like a lion. He is not a lion. He whimpers at the mere mention of the name Jesus.

Clothe yourself in My armor, speak the Word and watch faith arise like a mighty flood against the enemy. The time has come to deal a death blow to destructive assaults and the results of unmet expectations, hopes and dreams.

I know you know this, but I feel I must tell you again, “I am for you, not against you. I have not and will not forsake or reject you in the midst of your trouble no matter the cause. I can’t and I won’t. I am a good Father to you so fear not.”

I see your great heart of love toward Me and your desire to please Me in all things. Child I am here today and say “You are an overcomer of all hindrances great and small.

Remember a fox is a fox, is a fox no matter the size and I care and deliver you from them all.”

Take Thoughts Captive, Disappointment & Discontentment Are Insidious Foes

Beloved, disappointment is such an insidious little fox, sneaking in before you realize it. It always waits patiently for you to be distracted from Me. It can take the simplest irritation or unfulfilled expectation, turning it into a mountain of frustration, and throw it over you like a wet blanket of discontent. Once a door is open, layer after layer of wet blankets are applied, weighing you down, robbing hope, faith and joy.

Once this happens, gratefulness, thankfulness and contentment are nowhere to be found. I have instructed you to be content in all things, all circumstances. Contentment is birthed out a heart of thankfulness and trust in My inherent goodness which cannot change.

Discontentment is an open door, leading to frustration, assumption and finally supposition. When you encounter situations and attitudes outside the sphere or scope of your influence, allow a time of communion between us. Without it, you tend to follow the dictates of the flesh (Romans 8:13).

During these times and struggles you must take your thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). If not, you will find the road back to peace laden with intense humility, even though accompanied by My grace and mercy. Look for any open doors of disappointment that may have lodged in your spirit. Speak forgiveness to yourself and anyone or anything involved. Tell your spirit to receive mercy and grace. Tell disappointment to flee and peace to rule in your spirit, soul and body. I am waiting to flood you with immeasurable grace, mercy and favor. Let go!

Forsake Assumption and Speculation

Did you know assumption is the belief that something is true without proof, based on perceived circumstances or runaway thoughts? Assumption gives way to deeper speculation, in spite of firm evidence, forming a hypothesis through an engaged mental process. This sounds complicated doesn’t it? It isn’t. Simply said, “You are forming patterns based on wrong beliefs and only I know the heart of any matter or any man.”

Once a hypothesis is formed, it becomes truth to you, regardless of accuracy. All inner turmoil can be avoided when you call on My name in the day of trouble (Psalms 50:15 Psalms 87:6). Trouble is simply anything robbing you of your peace or faith, from the sublime to the catastrophic. The key is to stay in a place of communion, thereby, avoiding the schemes and subtleties of the devil, which lead to discouragement and an accusatory spirit toward you or others.

Thoughts allowed to run rampant and unchecked affect your, mind, your will and your emotions, causing actions harmful in any given situation. Take them captive (2 Cor 10:5). The more a negative process is followed, the less you trust Me, relying on your own abilities and intuitions. This never works for the good.

Remember and be encouraged. I see your trouble before it arrives, and I am listening for your request, poised to defend you and meet any need from on high. Receive this revelation today and prohibit future struggles. Imagine Me ready and waiting for your request, and meditate on the significance of My presence.

My Help Comes From The Lord

When My presence is acknowledged and accepted everything changes. Everything must change, has to change. How can anything stay the same when I am on the scene? Bottom line, it can’t and won’t. Don’t let your eyes move away from focusing on Me for one moment. Don’t let your heart move away from My Word even for a second. Your help comes from Me, who made the heaven and the earth (Psalms 121:1-2)

Beloved, you must hide My Word in your heart (Psalms 119:11). If you do this, the Word will arise in the day of trouble; it will arise and banish doubt and unbelief. It will arise and release the joy of overcoming faith. My word is living and when inserted it cuts away all opposing forces and releases its power into the situation, into the heart (Heb 4:12). It is an eternal catalyst of change.

Unbelief becomes faith. Worry becomes peace. Sadness becomes joy. Death becomes life. Bitterness becomes forgiveness. Defeat becomes victory and so on and so on. There is no end to the transforming power of My Word. Embrace truth and disappointment, discontentment, assumption and speculation will flee. All the little foxes will know and understand there is no place for them in the midst of your forgiving, merciful, trusting and faithful heart.

However, you must as always be on guard at all times for your enemy roams like a lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Be wise as a serpent, gentle as a dove, and walk in the authority I have given you (Matt 10:16). I am revealing all hidden doors the enemy has access to and together with your cooperation, diligence and trust in Me, all will be closed. Come; let us do this thing together, for it is time for your light to shine in a whole new way.

You Have My Support

Beloved in all things I have spoken to your heart, you have My support (Psalms 20:1-3). My support, My dedication to you, keeps you from falling into the trap of disillusionment and gives you the necessary things without relinquishing or giving away ground gained in previous victories.

I refresh you in the midst of all circumstances, in the midst of any situation if you let me. When I refresh in the midst of support; you are invigorated and replenished with the ability to stand in faith with joy (Psalms 23:3). I uphold and restore every portion of your life with My mighty, outstretched hand, strengthening and reinforcing resolve, producing a steadfast spirit in you.

Apply all I have spoken you as I tell you. Not all at once. Listen for My voice saying go this way or that way (John 10:27). Be like Me and do only as the Father says and does (John 5:19) If you only hear and do what He says moment by moment, or day by day all will be well. Don’t be anxious and try to fix everything at once. Come aside and I will tell you, step by step what to do. My progression is perfect, even it seems slow to you sometimes.

Obedience is the key. It is so much better than sacrifice (Isaiah 1:11). Quicker too, if you want to know the truth about it. No backtracking, no two steps back and then one forward when you keep an even and steady pace with Me. I am losing your feet, shod with the gospel of good news you are hiding in your heart to take you on a precise path of destiny.

Beloved today is the day of a whole new journey and focus. Yes, today you must see Me high and lifted up in the sanctuary of your heart and life, ready to help (Isaiah 6:1). Put all your little frustrations into My hands, and the big ones will be easier. Give all disappointments to Me this very moment, and see My glory manifest in your life. After all, it is what I do best. Perceive the new thing I am doing and be glad (Isaiah 43:19).

Prayer

I slip into the mighty protection of Your hand. Lord, forgive me for not trusting You with the disappointments in my life. Sometimes I let all the little things add up and rob the precious joy I find in You. Help me to see when I put unreal expectations on others, especially my friends and family or even my own self. It is harmful to me, to us, affecting our relationships in a negative way. Your Word teaches and gives me wisdom for each and every day.

Time with You makes it possible to walk in the Spirit. Show me all the little foxes running through my thoughts. I confess You as my high tower and ever-present help in time of trouble. I open my heart up for support, refreshment and strength. Lord, I love you as my dearest friend and accept these words of instruction and encouragement today. I submit to You in humility of sacrificial praise and obedience. Come, Holy Spirit, and fill me to running over with goodness, mercy and power to overcome. I receive all things, with a heart of rejoicing, that my joy might be full. Amen

Reflect and Journal

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 3-6 NASB)

1. What disappointments (little foxes) have you given into?

2. What word has He given you that need to be spoken over your current situations?

3. What particular thoughts seem to go over and over in your mind like a bad movie? Take them captive to the cross of Christ and its resurrection power.

4. Practice a time of prayer and thankfulness. For every negative thought, replace it with several things you are grateful for. It builds faith.

5. Have you made speculations and assumptions outside of the clear and discernable voice of the Lord? Confess them and replace them with prayers for wisdom and clear discernment.

6. Any hypothesis built on wrong assumptions etc. must be treated like a strong man and torn down through the power of the Word, through the power of the blood. Take time to do this.

7. Reflect on the fact He is waiting with a heart of anticipation to help you in any area of trouble, disappointment etc. Turn around as a prophetic gesture and face Him with your request, your need.

8. What word is arising from the treasure you have hidden in your heart? It is your key, your tool, your weapon. Use it now.

9. What is Holy Spirit asking you to do personally to be on guard?

10. He is revealing hidden doors. Listen carefully and write them down with any revelation or Scripture He gives you. Once again, they are your weapons, your tools, your keys.
11. He is sending refreshment and support from His Sanctuary this very moment. Respond to Him. Open up your heart and receive no matter what you think, hear to the contrary or what you might be feeling. He is here.

12. What do you perceive He is doing right now? What is the new thing in your life?

  1. Brenda:

Once again I have come here to find just what I needed. What my heart needed. I can see the past several months of my life in this devotion. I am printing it off so I can read it again as I fall asleep. Falling asleep to the Words of My Father.

    Amen and Amen.
