Rattle Your Cage, I Think Not

Word of the Day
Beloved, know that you are not disqualified from the place of glory. You do not have a heart of stone. It has already been ground down into very easy to remove pieces. They are only little stones. You are only a stone’s throw away from victory at any given time. Don’t let the enemy make a big noise with such a small thing, or rattle your cage, so to speak.

On the other hand, do not be deceived in a different way, thinking because you might have known Me for such a long period of time means there are no stones. Denial, like fear, is also a robber and a deceiver. If you find yourself making excuses or justifications for anything, it is an indicator of stones collected along the way. This does not distress Me nor cause any disappointment in or with you. It just means there is a job to do.

It is for this purpose I have come to destroy the works of the evil one and have sent the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth (cf. John 16:13; John 14:25-27)). It is only when you obstinately refuse My help, under the guise of self-righteousness or fear, that I am grieved. It is not your stones that bother Me. It is the response of your heart to the promptings I give to accomplish your complete freedom. You are the habitation of My glory—My presence and it delights Me to reveal and remove any hindrance to complete wholeness and destiny.

Remember, the enemy roars like a lion. He is a big pretender. It is his nature to enlarge and threaten with fear of failure. As I said before, he makes mountains out of molehills. If he can convince you that your stone is a mountain, then the enemy produces a belief that you do indeed have a hardened heart—a heart of stone. In a sense it is his job to convince. It is what he does and who he is—a liar and deceiver.

You, on the other hand, are king and priest and it is your duty to refuse through the power of who you are in Me. Know the Word for it is your weapon of truth when he comes. Do as I did. Use the Word when the enemy comes to kill, steal or destroy. Use the Word and see his words, works and lies destroyed. Use the Word and see abundant life (cf. John 10:10). Every work of the enemy destroyed in your life makes it easier to see the treasures I have put in you. Arise and roar for I, the Lion of Judah, am on your side.

“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:25-27 NKJV).

Prayer
Lord, forgive me where I have listened to the lies of the enemy and allowed him to persuade me that I have a hard heart in any area of my life. I am not disqualified by the stones in my life. They are opportunities to experience Your resurrecting life-giving power. They are stepping stones to victory and discovery. May I never feel like I have arrived to such an extent that I have no stones, no work to be done in my heart. This is pride, pure and simple.

Ignite a passion in my heart for Your Word, for Your truth. I open my heart to be examined by You. Expose every work of the enemy, every place in need of healing. I surrender my heart to You stones and all. Open my eyes to see the treasures that I may walk in them. I choose to roar over my circumstances with Your Word and You will contend on my behalf, for You were manifest to destroy the works of the evil one in my life that I might glorify Your name in the earth. Yes, I arise and roar and my enemy flees. Amen

Reflect and Journal

  1. What particular works of the evil one are evident in your life as you look at your own heart and those you love?
  2. In what ways have you looked more to the stones and judged yourself than to the grace, mercy and work of Holy Spirit?
  3. When it comes to those you love, what can you best to do demonstrate the Lord’s heart and not the enemy’s?
  4. Take some time to let Holy Spirit minister to you, teach you and love on you. Write what He says, so you will have something to fight with, something to roar with

  1. 1. Criticism….especially when driving. Aha!
    2. I forget to pray about this problem area. Just do “my thing.”
    3. To always have their best concerns at heart, speak lovingly and help them in their needs. To be there.
    4. “If God be for us, who can be against us?” This phase comes to mind.

    Again, pray often and listen….
