A Daddy’s Heart

Word of the Day

Hear Holy Spirit’s tender yet strong Words over your heart. Hear each and every Word He speaks. Hear each and every declaration He proclaims about My faithfulness—My good and kind intents toward you. For I, like My Son am gentle and humble in heart, yet quite capable of vanquishing your enemies. I execute judgment on injustice, yet I say mercy triumphs over judgment.

Beloved, change is yours every time you look into My face—every time you look into My Word. Take time to see Me through the lens of My Son and your image of Me will become clearer and clearer. Who I am will become so clear that after you look in the mirror and walk away, you will always remember. All tendencies toward being double minded will be defeated. All I need for you to do is discover who I am and agree. Remember, I am always present. Look up! (Matthew 11:29)

I not only wanted to be considered as your Father but I want to be considered your Daddy. I am the true representation of a daddy’s heart. I wanted to be Daddy so much I sent My Son to die that I might claim you as Mine. I know I have said these words over and over, but if you could see what I see in the lives of so many, as My eyes move to and fro across the earth, your heart would break. Therefore, I will say them as much as they need to be said until all My children know how much I love them, till you know how much I love you.

So many need to hear over and over to believe. So many do not have any concept of Father let alone Daddy. A daddy who scoops up his little ones just to hear them giggle. A daddy who aches—who longs to undo the pain in a child’s heart. A daddy who blows kisses across a crowded room and is not embarrassed. A daddy who has laughed so much, passionate lines are etched in his face. A daddy who would lay down his life and consider no sacrifice to big. Did you know I sometimes give you things just to hear your giggle with excitement, to see your smile light up your eyes?

Yes, I do all the things and more. I wanted you so badly I adopted you that I might father you (Ephesians 1:5). My heart is a nourishing heart expressing all the attributes of My nature and countenance. Dive in to the depths of Me and be clothed in garments of love and change.

“For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]—“(Ephesians 1:5 Amplified).

Prayer

Lord, help me to hear, to see the beauty of my Father in all His fullness. Help me to see His “daddy” heart. For each and every time I gaze into His face, into the Word I am changed. Each time I hear more clearly, see more clearly and understand more deeply. I embrace the “daddy” heart of my heavenly Father and walk in all He says I am. I rest in Him and the glory of His abiding presence. When He smiles I smile. When He laughs I laugh. I only do what I see my Father doing. Therefore, all double-mindedness must flee as I rest in the Word, the truth of who He is and who I am in Him.

Lord, may Your spirit so enlighten me, change me and fill me that I become a living, breathing example of the Father’s daddy heart to all around me. This is my desire, first that I might know You and second that I help others to know You. Let me see Your laugh lines, Your smile . . . let me see Your heart. Amen

Reflect and Journal

  1. The opportunity for change exists each and every time you read the Word. What do you need to do to embrace this truth in practical ways each time you read the Word?
  2. Reflect on the Father’s intense desire for those He loves as His gaze moves to and fro across the earth. This includes you.
  3. Take some time to reflect on the Father watching you across a crowded room, across a crowded world as if you are the only one. Can you see Him blowing kisses of love and revelation to you?
  4. What do you need from Him? What places in your heart and your soul need to be kissed by His great love? Take time to receive and be changed.
