Word of the Day
Taste and see that I am good, yes, good in every way, in every experience of your soul, in every night of the soul (Psalms 34:8 Psalms 119:103). I am refreshing sweetness to weary and dry bones and a delicacy to the satisfied. Eat from the honey of My Word for it is good and sweet to the taste, rejuvenating to a cellular level with revelatory, overcoming strength.
You are in a time of refreshing, a time of drawing aside, yes a time of repentance (Acts 3:9). I must wash you of the cares of this world, the troublesome gnats of discouragement swirling about your beautiful countenance. You may not see them as gnats but to Me they are. There is no such thing as a giant to Me. My presence will enable you to see things as I see them, unfolding with eternal grace. Yes, unfolding with grace and not strife. Be not disappointed in yourself, I am here. Yes, I am here with you and I am not disappointed. Why should you be? What more could you ask for than My favor and love; nothing, nothing, no, not nothing (Proverbs 3:4) As you walk hand in hand with Me the favor I have, you have. I increased in favor and so shall you (Luke 2:52).
Remember; I am the one who laughs at the schemes and plans of the wicked (Psalms 37:13). And guess what, you are like Me, created in My image. How excited I am (ICorinthians 6:19). Such pleasure, such delight is now coursing through My veins. I must…I must stop and take a moment-take a moment to breath in the essence of who you are. Your perfume of adoration and love swirls around Me, igniting My heart with desperate love.
There are things I must tell you, tell you because I love you, tell you because I cannot fathom being without telling you. Yes, the days to come will hold many surprises, many revelations causing you to faint with love and shed any scales on your eyes. Sweet honey is dripping from My heart (Psalms 119:103). Oil is dripping from My fingertips. I am at the door of your heart. Let Me in, be softened and receive My love no matter the circumstance (Song of Songs 5:3-5). Come with Me (Song of Songs 2:10) Breathe deep and know I am near.
“How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalms 119:103 NASB)”O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (Psalms 34:8 NASB)
Prayer
My heart, like Yours, is faint with love. No one can speak to me like You do. Your words melt all my resistance, all my fear. I taste Your Word. I eat Your Word and know You are good. I hear sweet whispers in my ears as You drip them over my life. Your oil softens my heart and I give You praise. There is none like You in the whole earth.
I am so excited about the many surprises come showered down in gifts of love from You to me. My heart falls at Your feet in adoration, adoration for the One who is never disappointed in me, the One who always encourages me. When Your correction comes it is so enveloped in a honey like love I never dismay or feel chastised. I am softened in Your presence today. I breathe deeply of the atmosphere of heaven for You are near, always near. Yes, You are here. I will not turn You away.
Reflect and Journal:
1. What gnats of discouragement have been swirling around your life recently?
2. Ask Him to show you any scales on your eyes.
3. Reflect on the fact He is stopping all because He is caught up in your beauty and His love for you.
1. Health issues….people in church who do not act like true Christians (this is a big gnat lately)…being too loose with my tongue (though not at church).
2. Funny you would mention the eyes, because after having cataracts removed from both eyes within 6 weeks apart, I see colors brighter and white is white now. Maybe that is telling me something…to look at the bright side of life and push the darkness back, away from me.
3. He keeps reminding me that I still have work to do and get a book of poems together to publish. He keeps reminding me that I am a beloved child of His. He gives me good advice and an upbeat look at my life. He upholds me with His love, His concern and His guidance.
