Arise, O Sleeper

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you” (Isaiah 60:1 NIV).“Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn” (Psalms 57:8 NIV).”“…for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Ephesians 5:14 NIV)
Arise and Shine

I am rousing you to wakefulness with My beauty, causing you to forsake all at its revealing. I will touch your eyes, removing the sleep that has formed there, enabling you to behold My beauty. I am causing My goodness to pass before you. The brightness of My glory will radiate from your life. It may seem painful for a moment when the hidden places of your heart that cause you to slumber are revealed. During this time of preparation you must remember that things are only manifest so they might be destroyed (1 John 3:8).

Always know this, My only desire is to bring you into the glorious purpose I planned for you before the foundations of the world (Ephesians 2:10). Be confident of this: joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). It would be selfish and unkind of Me to leave you in a state of slumber when so much is at stake for the lost, and for you personally. Your awakening produces someone else’s awakening. The law of multiplication will take effect.
Remove The Sleep From Your Eyes

Arise, O sleeper from your slumber. You have been lulled to sleepiness in the time of daybreak. Time has sprung forward into the day of promise. I have sprung forward, catapulted on the prayers and intercessions of My people. They have filled the bowls and vessels of heaven with weighty, fragrant incense. It is seeping over the edge, onto the earth, for time is short. The time of great pouring has come.

Arise and remove the sleep from your eyes. Remove the sleepy scale-like covering of the flesh that hinders your vision. Don’t long for one more moment of sleep; vowing to rise later. The alarm has sounded. It has sounded the lateness of the hour. Arise remove the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life (1 John 2:15-17). They are like sedatives lulling you into a false sense of security. Change your focus.

I show no partiality with anyone (Job 34:19). All I have is for whomsoever; whosoever will come. Arise and don’t look back, let the dead bury the dead. Forsake all that hinders you, get up and remove the sleep and come.

I Am Awakening Love

I am awakening love throughout My church. I am visiting My people; decreeing My purposes for them in this hour. I have plans for you to share in this great awakening; the rising up of My church. You shall rise up and take your rightful place in the world, shining like the Son. Arise and shine for My glory is risen upon you for this purpose and time.

Repent and shake off the dust of complacency, apathy, fear of failure, a hard heart of unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, anger, greed, and pride (Matthew 3:2). They are millstones around your neck and are not worth holding on to, causing you to forsake the coming weightiness of My glory, for temporal things. All natural temporal blessings are given that you might bless and advance the kingdom; not to be stored up in barns or buried in the ground out of fear. Set your sights on things above (Colossians 3:2-3).

I am rousing you to wakefulness with My beauty, causing you to forsake all at its revealing. I will touch your eyes, removing the sleep that has formed there, enabling you to behold My beauty. I am causing My goodness to pass before you. The brightness of My glory will radiate from your life.

Times Of Preparation

It may seem painful for a moment when the hidden places of your heart that cause you to slumber are revealed. During this time of preparation you must remember that things are only manifest so they might be destroyed (1 John 3:8).

Always know this, My only desire is to bring you into the glorious purpose I planned for you before the foundations of the world (Ephesians 2:10). Fill Your Lamps With Oil

Fill your lamps and trim your wicks and forsake all pursuits that I have not called you to (Matthew 25:4). Draw near to Me and let go of all that robs the precious fuel of My tangible presence. Close your eyes and thoughts to the enemy. Concentrate and focus on Me. I will soften and remove the sleep with the sweet oils deposited by intercessors throughout the years as they cried out for the great awakening. It pleases Me to awaken your love (Song of Solomon 2:6-8).

Prayer

Forgive me for being lulled to sleep by the circumstances of my life. Sometimes I only look at my life, my circumstances and not at the big picture. It isn’t all about me. I walk away from the sin of procrastination, always believing there will be plenty of time or another day. I give myself in worship, allowing You to remove sleep from the eyes of my heart. I surrender myself completely to your purpose for my life, letting go of unforgiveness, apathy, and fear. I give myself completely to You.

Your presence and glory radiates from my life. Forgive me Holy Spirit for the times I have ignored Your promptings and fill me with fresh anointing and desire today. Your very essence radiates from my life. I forsake all and focus on You with all that is within me. I love you. Amen
Reflect and Journal

1. What circumstances other than the Lord have captured your focus?

2. In what areas of your relationship with the Lord have you fallen asleep?

3. In which of the above mentioned areas do you need to repent and let go?

4. As you meditate on the above words and The Holy Spirit softens your heart with His sweet presence, what do you hear Him saying?

  1. Giving up has no place in my heart my dear Lord. It is faith in You that makes me carry on no matter how difficult it seems. My awareness of the presence of the enemy makes me always alert and watchful. Prayer is my armor and shield to keep me safe. Your loving protection is my hedge. You cover me, You watch over me and You always make sure no one can be against me. I will keep still because YOU ARE MY GOD!
