Dunes Of Time

Winds blow across my desert wide
Dunes of sand they rise, they collide

Shifting, moving under winds of time
Challenging all Holy, all that is Divine

Hands to the brow, sun In the eyes
Desert mocks My heart’s tender cries

They resound distorted in the air
Lying echos of the enemy, no truth to bear

Parched is this barren and arid land
Seemingly outside of my Abba’s hand

Ah, but Him my heart does truly know
He is present in trouble, He does not go

His name drips like honey on parched lips
His presence heals as from His wine I sip

In desert places our hearts commune
In shifting sand and colliding dunes

As sands shift… sway under my trodding feet
Steady on The Rock, His courage I do keep

Though winds blow across my desert wide
Through His eyes I see the other side

I hear the ground rumble, hear it shake
As the enemy’s territory He does take

Dunes collapse into a smooth, straight path
The enemy bows down…succumbs to Abba’s wrath

Rain clouds fill the sun scorched sky
The Lion roars and draws ever so nigh

He escorts me through gates of praise
He fills my heart with His perfect gaze

Every cry of my heart He holds with care
Surely He freed me from the enemy’s snare

Out Of the desert leaning on Him whom I love
With choirs of angels descending from above|

In the oasis of His Heart together we do abide
Swept away by His eternal, redeeming tide

Hands to my heart in ecstasy of His glory
Me, a beautiful expression off Abba’s story

Ah, but Him my heart does love, does know
He forever stays, He does not ever, ever go

Together We walk through gates of adoring praise
Eyes for one another, an eternal gaze

The desert has faded far from view
In the oasis of His Heart all is new
