Like A Feather
Traversing through my busy day
You interrupt my heart to swoon and sway
Momentarily I was unaware
Of Your ever present tender care
Yet You are not deterred by my busy mind
For in my spirit we commune we love and dine
Like a feather floating, You gently arise
Singing to me of love in sweetest reprise
I hear You, I taste, and yes, my Love I see
Your glory abiding, singing in the depth of me
Who can captivate my heart this way
Who but You can make me swoon and sway?
You my Love, who laid Your life down
You vibrate my heart with Your sound
O with ladder reaching to the sky
I ascend into You my Most High
Beyond the bounds of space and time
Past hindrances of my busy mind
One thought of You draws me up and away
Forsaking busy, my heart does swoon and sway
With childlike wonder I sense You, see Your face
Imprinted in my heart with grace
Who can captivate my heart this way
Who but You can make me swoon and sway?
O the wonder of me as one with You
Ever present heart beating faithful and true
O the wonder of You as one with me
Beyond the veil where I live, I dine, I see
Yes, even when momentarily I am unaware
My heart…my Spirit is alive without care
Like a feather floating Your heart in me ascends
I shout ecstatic, I am indeed one with Him
Who can captivate my heart this way
Who but You can make me swoon and sway?
I am indeed Yours and You are mine
In union our hearts for all of time
There is no end of pleasures to unfold
My story in You just beginning to be told
You woo me out of my busy distracted mind
Removing scales where I have been blind
Traversing through this life in ecstatic grace
Far above the bounds of my earthly place
Yes, we are two feathers floating in sacred dance
Upon the lofty heights we joyously prance
How I love You who makes swoon and sway
Only You captivate and carry my heart away
