My All Sufficient Grace Triumphs In Your Weakness

Word of the Day
Listen to My voice. Hear it say, “My grace is sufficient for you this day and every day after. My favor and loving kindness…and My mercy are sufficient to enable you to stand against any opposition…even opposition from within your own thinking”. (2 Corinthians 12:9) So many times you focus on your weakness somehow thinking it surprises or dismays Me. Actually the way I think is quite contrary to such thinking. I think only on what is pure, lovely and upright.

Therefore, when I see something in you or around you with the power to rob the beauty of who you are in Me I take positive action. Sometimes it doesn’t feel positive but that is because the enemy wants you to focus on the negative of how you feel or how others make you feel. He is such a master of distraction who loves to use your struggles like those funny mirrors found in carnivals which manipulate and distort a person’s features. He does this in hopes you will believe him over Me…believe him over the Word. Knowing who I am in you will put a stop to these types of shenanigans.

Have I not told you My power and strength are fulfilled and completed in your weakness (2 Corinthians 2:9). When you come to realize on a consistent basis how much I enjoy being with you…how much I enjoy dwelling in you, things will change dramatically. Your mindset will change and you will value the person you are and the personality you have. When this happens I can show Myself most effective and you in turn are able to bear up under much trouble without feeling separated from Me.

But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! (2 Corinthians 12:9 Amplified)

Prayer
Lord, as I listen to Your voice daily, I understand with greater clarity and freedom the beauty of Your grace which is sufficient. It is more than adequate each and every day to overcome, endure and succeed. Not only is Your grace more than enough, Your mercy is new every morning and gives me strength to stand against any and all opposition.

Many times I have not recognized how the opposition in my own life has come from my own negative thinking. Forgive me for focusing on my own faults, weaknesses, and giving way to lies and negative thinking contrary to Your word. I choose to think on pure and lovely things and allow them to saturate my heart and renew my mind. Holy Spirit, help me, to renew my mind to think only the truth. As I think on what You say I will begin to choose right actions and belief systems. I will see myself as You see me, and I will no longer entertain the enemy’s lies to make me think otherwise.

Your power and strength are filled and completed in my weakness. At times I have rejected myself because of my own weakness and failures. Lord, help me to recognize the reality of Your delight and enjoyment at being with me, for You chose to live within me. You chose because You love me in spite of my human frailties. How can I not love You? It is impossible.

Change my mind set by the power of the Spirit as I meditate on Your Word, so that I can fully enjoy Your fellowship to the fullest. Help me to truly know the value of who I am because of what You have done…because of who You are in me. Come and rest in the garden of my heart for I have made room for You. Amen.

Reflect and Journal

  1. Look up the words grace and sufficient to see how they are applied from God’s Word to your life. Write the definitions down.
  2. Think and reflect on how many times a day you find yourself focusing on your weaknesses and not His greatness. Determine to fast from negative thinking about your abilities and look at God’s ability in those areas where you find you are weak. How will doing this most affect your life?
  3. Meditate on scriptures which speak of who God is in you.
  4. Practice telling yourself you are of great value to the Father. Remind yourself often…even moment by moment if necessary that in your weakness God is strong. Write down any revelations God gives you about your worth even when you feel like you are weak.
