Garden of My Love

Word of the Day
You are the garden of My tender love. I am continuously watering and nurturing you. When your leaves wither and your roots go dry, my rain, yes my rain, will drench you. It will rain blessings, reminding you that I am a caring God. It will rain showers of deliverance, washing away any dust collected along the way. This must be so. I have important things for you to do.

The many surprises coming your way will remind you I am always by your side. You are anchored in my safe harbor. I am your sanctuary, your safe place.

I will see to it that you are well-watered, enabling you to grow robust and mighty as an oak tree. Your branches will be home for many searching souls as you grant to those who mourn in Zion consolation for their souls (Isaiah 61:3). Your discerning spirit will always lead you to aching hearts, and your patient ears will listen without reservation. This thing is already completed in Me, and now it is time for the fullness of it to reveal itself before your very eyes. Not only will you see and respond, you will see and hear My wisdom-filled answers and solutions. Be prepared to be astounded.

Yes, like the leaves of a mighty tree rooted by streams of living water, you will absorb the pains and sufferings of yearning souls, and in the process, you will exhale the exciting news of deliverance (Psalm 1:3). Like a parched land, your soil will eagerly absorb the rain, and it will flourish until the harvest is ready. And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

Prayer
I am the garden of Your great love and my heart beats for You Lord and You alone. You wash me with the Word and Your kindness leads me to repentance. Even now Your showers of blessing and deliverance are falling on me like sweet spring rain, preparing me for the task ahead. My heart leaps with excitement at the surprises ahead and like a child on his birthday, I will wait till the appointed time. I will wait, but my heart will anticipate with great exhilaration the coming of My King and all You bring to me. Wisdom flows from Your throne and my heart is an open vessel, receptive to You. I go deep into the soil of Your heart and tap into the rivers of living water. I flourish in You. I am consumed by You. I prepare myself and say, “Astound me Lord for I am standing at attention before You.” Amen

Reflect and Journal
1. Have you felt dry, in need of water from the throne? Open up your heart in a time of worship and accept what He is already pouring out. Record all He says.

2. He has made you to walk in Isaiah 61. It always helps to give in the midst of struggle. Who is He speaking to you about and what does He want you to step out and do?
