One Drink, One Breath, One Prayer, One Song

Word of the Day
Beloved, you are my longing and thirsting one whom I love with an everlasting love (Psalms 63:1). Do you know you, are at all times, only one breath away…one drink away from being satisfied in deep and profound ways…one breath away from the infilling you have so longed for. Yes, you are one drink, one song, or one breath from being immersed in My goodness…My hope… one breath from being immersed in tangible ways.

You are one corner away from turning onto the path of realized victory in many areas of your life. You are one prayer away from tipping the bowls of incense produced by all the prayers you have spoken…all the prayers you have cried out in the night. I have heard them all. I cherish them all.

Yes, you are one breath away from experiencing Me…one breath away from one victory or another. Don’t ever give up. Determine to go around the corner.

Don’t stop breathing Me in just because you are tired or weary…just because you have been unfaithful or unbelieving…just because of disappointment or the betrayal and rejection of men. You belong to a higher way…a heavenly way not bound by the ways and whims of the world.

Don’t stop singing just because you don’t have a new song. Sing one you have already sung. Sing one filled with words from the promises I have already given you. Don’t stop walking the path. Don’t stop walking the narrow way just because the corner you need to turn seems so far away or too sharp to navigate. Don’t stop praying for the bowl of My remembering is filling to the tipping point.

Yes Beloved, don’t stop now for I am with you and have an overflowing cup in hand…a cup full of notes to sing until whole new songs are birthed. I am with and give you My support to continue on the path no matter how steep or curved it may be. Pray one more prayer…take one more breath…hum one more note… drink one more drink for you are a breath away…yes, a breath away from realizing the victory in so many areas of your life. I am indeed your water in a weary land (Psalms 63:1)

Let the longing and thirst of your heart come to fullness in good and positive ways. Thirst is a good thing as long as it is not filled by partaking of things which do not bring life just because promises seem to tarry…just because you have been fearful or failed before.

Come! Open your mouth and let Me fill it. Open up your heart and let the song I am singing over you grow in your heart one note at a time (Zephaniah 3:17). Let the light of My Presence shine one ray at a time…one beam at a time until I have illumined all darkness of soul (Psalms 18:28). Come…breathe, pray, sing and walk the paths I have prepared for you. Do so with complete confidence for I am with you to quench your thirst in life giving ways. I am with you to birth new songs… to breathe afresh on you…and to give you strength to walk another step and catapult you into the realization of all I have ordained and promised you. You are only a breath away. Come!

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 Amplified)

For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; the Lord my God illumines my darkness. (Psalm 18:28 Amplified)

[ A Psalm of David; when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. ] O GOD, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. (Psalms 63:1 Amplified)

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; (1 Thessalonians 5:17 Amplified)

Reflect and Journal

  1. The Lord is calling you His longing and thirsty one whom He loves with an everlasting love. I know at times we do not feel so thirsty or as if we long for Him, yet He calls us this. Why? Because He loves us. It is like the angel coming to stir the waters. Close your eyes and say, “Lord, you are calling me your longing one…Your thirsty one and I choose to agree. I am one who longs…one who thirsts for You. I am thirsty like a deer panting for the water brooks. I stir up my heart to thirst and encourage myself in the Word of the Lord.” Now that you have done this, what do you feel or think is being stirred up in your heart? Give expression to it. Don’t just think it. Use your hands to write and your mouth to proclaim it in agreement with the Lord.
  2. Contemplate what it means to sing the song the Lord is singing over you. If you cannot hear, then sing one He has already sung over you. If it is still hard to do, then sing Amazing Grace for it is truly the first song He sang over you in so many ways. You were once lost and now you are found. Singing this may help you to find what you need as it stirs your heart…or one could say primes the pump. What is He singing? What is Amazing Grace stirring? Don’t just think it. Use your hands to write the song He is giving you and your mouth to proclaim in agreement with the Lord.
  3. What things or good or bad do you tend to use to fill the thirsty places of your heart? We all have things we gravitate to…shopping, eating, entertainment, and so on…or even the advice of a friend verses being in His Presence? To expose these things brings freedom. You cannot fight what is hidden.
  4. What promise of God do you need to most apply the above Word to? Take your promise and write it out. For example you could say, “Lord I am only one breath away…one song away…one prayer away…one corner away from walking in_________________.” Start with this statement and continue with your own words. Once you have done this you must use your voice and speak. The world was framed with the Lord’s words. Yours is no different. Start framing your world with His Word and words to you.
