God Is Not A Man That He Should Lie

Word of the Day
I spoke to Abram at a time when all dreams had faded and the sound of childish laughter and play were only a distant memory in a life surrendered to Me. Did he ever wonder why? Did he ever blame himself? What questions do you think he had asked prior to the day I spoke to him? He was a man just like you, so what do you think the answer to these questions might be?

What dreams have you held a bay, wondering if they could ever be or if I will remember and do what I have promised (Numbers 23:18-20)? I can assure you I remember and I will bring them to pass. I am aware of them all and like I said, “I am here to blow a fresh breath of life and ignite a fiery faith in your heart. Look up and see the stars. My wind is blowing.”

You are My Abraham, a contender of the faith in this generation. What you do and believe matters, having the power to bring life-changing effects to those around you-those you see and those you will never see until that day.

Therefore, let child-like laughter fill your heart. Do not let it become a distant memory of days gone by. Laughter will do you good like a medicine and your wondering, wandering heart will dance a dance of faith filled praise.

“God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19 Amplified)

Prayer
Father I let go of the past, let go of self-blame, and press on. I have held on to some dreams in my heart because they seemed way to big for a person like me to accomplish. I have often considered the men and women of the Bible to be bigger than life, yet they are not. Only one thing is required of me, just like one thing was required of them, to be willing. I am willing.

I want what I believe and do to have positive results in the generations to come. I can hear faint sounds of child-like laughter bubbling in the deep recesses of my being and I choose to act on the sounds I hear. Laughter is my portion. My dreams are beginning to laugh in with childish glee. I have the faith of a child as I now dance a dance of praise. Amen

Reflect and Journal:

  1. What dreams have you let go of the Lord has given and confirmed for you?
  2. Have you forgotten how to laugh like a child? Have you become to serious for your own good?
  3. Reflect on this and see if your faith has suffered and robbed your heart of praise.
